It’s been a while for some news on Chart Your Music but rest assured, the app is still being updated.
Even better, now with the help of AI tools like Claude and the proper agent skills implementing new features and fixing bugs are quicker and easier then ever.
As a result, the new version of Chart Your Music, version 2.4 does come with these new features:
A new inline music player that beautifully mimics the one you see working in Apple Music. And the great feature that comes with the player is that it plays your chart in reverse order. Just like your you expect from your favourite radio station counting down to number 1.
Support for integration with MusicBrainz music service. On top of Genius, Last.fm and Discogs, the app now also offers integration with the MusicBrainz music service.
Cache management of your album artwork. The app now manages the cache of artwork images so the retrieval of artwork does not eat up your device’s storage. You can also clear the cache completely in case you feel inclined to.
Furthermore, a lot of minor and bigger bugs have been fixed. and additional small UI changes have been made as well.
And finally, Shazam embedded functionality has been removed. Instead, the app is Shazam enabled which means you can use the Shazam system-wide feature in iOS and when a track is discovered, share directly from Shazam to Chart Your Music.
The update is available from the App Store.
